A. MALOCH, STIRLING, SCOTLAND, Rebounding hammer gun. 2 3/4", 30" nitro proofed, fine Damascus choked Sk1/IC. 14 1/2" Beautiful fiddle back grain highlights the well figured wood in this stock - also the perfectly fit heel and toe caps cannot be overlooked. The round body back action retains a moderate amount of its original case colors and to this day has sharp engraving, clean and properly timed screws. Stanton built the locks for this gun based on a rare rebounding patent - no. 3774 from 1869. This lovely breach opening gun is managed by a smooth operating Jones under lever. Also worth mentioning, are the brass cocking indicator pins based on Scott's Loaded Indicator patent no. 2752 of 1865 - rare! and the elegantly carved fences. Overall this top drawer hammer gun is exceptionally clean and tidy and sure to please on the course or in the field. 6lbs 14oz |
